It Makes Me Happy!

As I mentioned before, my mom and my SIL wanted to try their hand at stamping so we sat down and I taught them quite a few new techniques! I showed them how to color with SU! Markers and I showed them my favorite watercoloring tricks along with some other things! I seriously can't believe how both of their projects turned out! You would never know they had never stamped before!

My mom made this fantastic bookmark! Isn't it great? Can you tell where I get my creativity? Haha! She is seriously very talented and I am excited that she is finally getting into this fabulous hobby! She came up with the design for this all by herself! I let her sort through all my stamps and decide what she wanted. She loved the Embrace Life set and wanted to use it. I love the look of the branches over the flower! So neat!
This is the card my SIL created! She colored Riley first and then realized she probably shouldn't have included so many colors! Haha! I then reminded her that she didn't have to use EVERY color on her card too. She wasn't sure where to go next so I gave her my SU! Spring catalog and let her find a fun layout! It didn't take her too long to decide what she was going to do and just look at her finished product! Isn't if fantastic? I actually really like the colors that she chose! I will admit that I had to help her with the ribbon because she couldn't get it to tie like she wanted but other than that...she did it all on her own!
I want to also mention that these two women have influenced me so much that I want to start either some stamp clubs or throwing workshops! It was so much fun teaching them what I know and letting them go! They enjoyed it too so I was pleased!

That's all I have for right now! My husband is preaching tomorrow in church so he will probably spend today working on his sermon. I guess that means I will have lots of time to stamp! :D I also got my new SU! catalog in the mail yesterday and am overwhelmed by everything in it! There is some seriously fantastic stuff! I am really starting to like the direction they are taking! I even broke down and ordered the new In Colors and Scallop Border Punch and it arrived yesterday as well! Until later, have a great Saturday!
