YNS: After the Release!

Good morning everyone! I hope you really enjoyed this week's Your Next Stamp release and blog hop because you get to see more! :) Today the DT is celebrating by having an After the Release Day! How fun! And what better way to celebrate than by sharing with you a fun and Springy card? I told you I had Spring on the brain.

For my card I used the new and adorable set called "Blossom". Isn't she just so cute??? I love that she is jumping in the air with joy. Anyway, I colored her using my Copic markers and sponged the background using my inked background technique. To create the sentiment, I pulled out the awesome "Letter Board" die again (I seriously can't get enough of it). I then applied the sentiments onto the banners that I cut with the "Fishtail/Banner" die set. I embellished the card with some Divine Twine and some dew drops and the card was finished! I have been loving these long cards lately! There is just so much room to write inside of them! :)

Anyway, I sure hope you enjoy today's card! Stop by the YNS blog and the rest of the design team to see what they've come up with! I know you won't be disappointed!

Onto my project:

For my card I used the brand new stamp set called "Twinkie". Again, baby on the brain! :) I pulled some old Cosmo Cricket paper and sponged the edges of all my layers. I stamped and colored "Twinkie" using my gray Copic markers and my white Prismacolor Pencil! I love the look this has on Kraft cardstock! I then cut the little lamb out and popped it up on dimensionals! To finish my card, I added some pretty seam binding ribbon and some sweet little pearls!

As always, Karen is offering some hop specials in the Your Next Stamp Store so make sure you take advantage of these great deals!
Now it’s time to hop on over to Veronica’s amazing blog, but don’t forget to leave a comment before you go!  Happy hopping!

YNS Sneaky Peek: Layla!

Good morning everyone! Today I am SUPER excited to share this sweet sneak peek with you today from Your Next Stamp and today I've got baby on the brain! :) The minute I saw this adorable image, I fell in love! Her name is "Layla" and she is as cute as can be. I wanted to create a long card using her so I made the card so that it would fit perfectly into a standard size mailing envelope. I wanted to create a 3D effect so I punched out 4 small circles and then popped the green panel up on dimensionals. I then punched 4 more circles from some turquoise card stock and glued it straight to the card base. I also pulled out the new Letterboard die that YNS has come out with to die cut the word "baby"! I love this die and have had so much fun playing with it! For the little banner, I used the YNS "Fishtail/Banner Die" set and only partially inked the sentiment so that it just read "Sweet Little". I then added some ribbon, rhinestones, and a clip and the card was complete!

Make sure you stop by the YNS blog as well as the rest of the YNS design team blogs to see what else is being peeked! :)

YNS Fun Friday: Birthday Butterfly

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Your Next Stamp Fun Friday! :) I just love the challenges that Karen has for us every month! This month's Fun Friday challenge is called "Celebrate". We were to create a card that celebrated some sort of event whether it be a birthday, anniversary, or a special moment. Here is what I came up with!

I decided to think outside the box a little bit on this card so instead of pulling out a set that was design specifically for birthdays, I combined a few sets! I had wanted to play along with Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch from this week and I thought the butterfly from the YNS set "Butterfly Love" would be perfect! I just LOVE this butterfly and think it's absolutely gorgeous! I decided to try something new and watercolor it with my Tim Holtz Distress inks. I really love the effect! After it dried, I cut it out and added some stickles to the wings to make them sparkle. For the rest of the card, I used some old Basic Grey paper (I can't remember the name) and some pretty satin ribbon. I cut out the circle on the front panel and popped it up on dimensionals to give it a fun look. I then die cut a circle out of the middle of the doily. I popped the butterfly up on dimensionals after restamping it and then embellished the card with some fun flowers and a beaded hat pin! The final touch was to use the "happy birthday" sentiment from the YNS set "Happy Birthday Mermaid".

So what do you think? It's a little bit different from the types of cards that I usually create but I really think it turned out to be a pretty card! If you want to play along with the Fun Friday challenge, we'd love to see what you create! Check out the YNS blog for more details! :)

Now, for those of you who saw yesterday's blog post, I bet you all are wondering what we found out about this baby! Well, it looks like we are going to have another little girl! We are so excited and know that Addison is going to make a great big sister! My due date is set for July 29th so that means I am almost half-way done with this pregnancy already! CRAZY! Anyway, I will be sure to keep you updated on that.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Oldies But Goodies!

Good morning! This is going to be a quick post today because we have some really exciting things happening! Today we find out the gender of our 2nd baby! :) Yay! That's right, I'm pregnant again! I'm due at the end of July and am SO excited!

Anyway, over the weekend, my good friend Leanne came over and we made some cards. I pulled out some old SU! stuff and had a lot of fun just getting creative! The stamp set I used is a retired SU! set called "Wonderful Watercolors". I LOVE this set! The rest of the materials are actually so old that I'm not even sure what they are called anymore. Haha!

Well, that's it for today! I will let you know tomorrow what the gender of this little baby is!

YNS Tasy Tuesday: Spring is coming!

Welcome to another fun Tasty Tuesday over at Your Next Stamp! I just love the image that Karen has picked out for us this month!

Doesn't it just scream spring and summer??? I am SO sick of the snow! So since I need a little bit of spring in my step, I decided to play off of not only the fun colors but the spring theme!

Ta-da! What says spring more than a nice gentle rain and rainbows??? :) I absolutely LOVE when it rains here in the mountains. It smells heavenly and since we have so much sunshine, we are almost guaranteed to see a rainbow!

So on to the details! First of all, I used one of my favorite images from Your Next Stamp, "Rainy Day Fhiona" and the "Accessories" stamp sets.  I colored her with my Copic markers (emphasizing the shadows where the umbrella would be blocking the sun) and then cut her out and popped her up on the circles using dimensionals. For the sentiment, I used the Fishtail/Banner Die set, and trimmed off one of the ends so that it would fit better. I also wanted to try an old favorite technique with this card so that I could get the rainbow panel so I pulled out some re-inkers and my baby wipes! I LOVE the end result that it gave! The white panel was run through my swirls Cuttlebug folder and I embellished the card with some fun rhinestones that I colored with an orange Copic marker and some ribbon.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! :)

Stop by the Your Next Stamp blog to get all of the details on the challenge. If you decide to play along this month, you will be entered to win a YNS gift certificate! I really hope you decide to play, and feel free to leave a link to your project so I can check it out and leave you some love!

Thanks for checking out my card today! Be looking forward to some more fun spring projects in the near future! I'm on a Springy kick!
