My Triple Challenge Card!

Happy Sunday everyone! The weather here in Westcliffe Colorado is beautiful! The sun is shining and the temperature is in the mid 60s but the sun makes it feel at least 70! That is one of the wonderful things about Colorado! When the sun is out it almost always feels about 10 degrees warmer! Anyway, I had a good time yesterday with some of the challenges on Splitcoast and from other bloggers! Here is one card that I did using Splitcoast's Inspiration Challenge, Splitcoast's Sketch Challenge, and Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge! I had hoped to do the sketch challenge earlier this week but it required either the nestabilities or the coluzzle and I had neither. I had ordered the coluzzle almost a month ago but it had been back ordered UNTIL I suddenly received it in the mail Thursday! WooHoo! Here is what the sketch consisted of! It was a pretty straightforward sketch but it was still tricky! I must add this little side note, if you don't participate in Splitcoast's weekly challenges, you SHOULD! They are so much fun and not only do they force you to stretch yourself, they give you a reason to stamp which in turn helps you grow as a stamper! :D Anyway, the second challenge I followed for this card was this week's inspiration challenge which was seriously AMAZING! Haha! The challenge host asked us to pick a ceramic cow from the Cow Parade line off this website and make a card that was inspired in some way by our choice cow! Now, I started browsing through cows and realized just how many there really are! It's incredible! You really need to check out the website to understand what I am talking about! This was actually my first inspiration challenge but I am officially hooked! Haha! Here is the cow that I choose! Isn't it hilarious??? Alright, the final challenge I used was Sharon's challenge to use glitter on our card! This was not difficult because I put glitter on almost ALL of my cards. I didn't use a lot on this card but it was the perfect touch. Ok, wow, a lot of talking for one card! Here is the card:

As you can tell, I didn't use a cow image (we weren't required to) partly because the only cow image I have is TEENY so I settled for second best and went used this cute hippo from my Pun Fun set! I was definately inspired by the cool design on the cow! I had remembered having some (*cough* non-Stampin' Up *cough*) designer paper that closely resembled the pattern so I dug and sure enough, I found some! I am not sure if you can see it or not but there is glitter on the hippo's bow, balloon, and toes! I also used my amazing rub-ons on the ribbon! Now, honestly, who wouldn't want those rub-ons??? :D I love them! I will have to admit, there is a lot of non-Stampin' Up! stuff on this card. A lot of it is from before I had my eyes opened to the SU! world. I believe the ribbon is from Wal-Mart (a good store), the paper I got at Hobby Lobby and is made by, I believe, K-I Memories, and the turquoise cardstock is some paper I got from Wal-Mart way back when! I am trying to weed through my old stuff since it is just kind of taking up space. I wasn't sure if I liked this card at first, but it is definitely growing on me! Let me know what you think! Enjoy your Sunday afternoon! I know I will!
