Birthday Penguins!

Welcome to another Monday! In exactly a week, I will be holding my baby girl in my arms! That is so crazy to think about! :) Anyway, I wanted to share this fun card that I made this past week. Isn't this image from The Cat's Pajamas great??? I just love this set called "Smells Like Cake". I wanted to participate in the TCP Tuesday inspiration challenge as well as Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try so I pulled this little cutie out! I decided to keep it gender neutral since I seem to always be short on masculine cards. I think I did an ok job on it!

As for the card details, the image was colored with my copics and the sentiment was stamped in versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I added some stickles to the cupcake and party hats for a little added dimension. I then used some retired SU! paper and added a corduroy button with a little ribbon embellishment to finish up the look!

I hope you all have a fantastic Monday! I have absolutely LOVED being able to post a card daily this weekend and I hope to keep them coming! I am going to try and get a bunch made so that I can have some ready to post when I'm recovering from my c-section! I don't want to fall out of the habit of posting again!

TCP Tuesday on Saturday!

Well, here it is, as promised! Again, the picture isn't the greatest, but oh well! I made this card for this past week's TCP Tuesday sketch challenge that was issued by Leigh . This card was actually a lot of fun to make! I pulled out my retired SU! Bali Breeze dsp (which I still love) and used some colors that I have not touched in forever! :D My card base is Rose Red (I must be feeling the Rose Red this week) and I layered on some Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive! I pulled out my TCP "Smells Like Cake" set again for this card. I popped out my ovals with my Nestabilities and stamped the dog on the white oval. I then stamped and colored the cake again so I could pop it up on dimensionals. To finish up the card I added some ribbon around my Rose Red strip and tied it off with thread. I then added stickles to the cake and brads to the side. The seniment was then punched out with my word window punch and popped up on dimensionals! I hope that are all having a fantastic day! Nick and I are going to spend the day running errands down the hill (which means in the flatlands of Pueblo)! :D Thanks for stopping by!

TSG Sneak Peeks Day 2: Roses & Chocolate

Good morning! It's Thursday which means tomorrow is Friday! Yay! Here is another fabulous stamp set that will be released this weekend from There She Goes! I am going to keep this post short today but you can find the rest of the details from this blog post as well as Jessica's blog! Anyway, this set is called Roses & Chocolate and was designed by Jessica AND Faith! Didn't they do a fabulous job? For this card I also used Jen's Sketch For You to Try. Well, I will give you more details with tomorrow's card. Sorry for the lack of words today, I'm not having a very good start. Thanks so much for stopping by though and I will be in much better spirits tomorrow!

Make sure you check out some more sneak peeks from the rest of the fabulous team! They won't let you down, I'm sure! :D

TCP Tuesday...Errr...Wednesday & A Sketch For You To Try

Yup, I combined two challenges on this card and both were actually from Jen del Muro's blog this week! :D I used Jen's weekly Sketch For You To Try AND since she was this week's TCP Tuesday challenge host, I used her color challenge as well! The color challenge this week was to use Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Taken with Teal. I just happen to love this color combination so it was a piece of cake for me (hehe...no pun intended). Anyway, I am really happy with how this card turned out. The brads really do match too but they look less olivey in the picture. Anyway, this is another late post so I am going to keep it short. One of these days I am going to be able to post earlier than 10 min. before bed! Hehe! Sorry again for the shortness of it! Enjoy your sleep ladies!

How About Some Penguins??? :)

Isn't this one of the cutest images ever??? I LOVE this stamp from the set "Smells Like Cake" by The Cat's Pajamas. I also love this sentiment! It would be perfect for an 18th birthday! Anyway, I used this week's TCP Tuesday inspiration challenge (given by Toni) and the Mojo Monday sketch challenge on this card! The inspiration picture had wonderful colors in it so I pulled my inspiration from that. I colored my image with...you guessed it...my Crayola pencils and OMS! :D It's seriously the easiest and cheapest way to color! I added some bling to my card by adhering these fabulous Zva Creation crystals to the ribbon and half circle. I also ran my glitter pen over the sprinkles, hats, star, and present but I know that's hard to see in the picture. Well, that about wraps it up for this card! I hope you are all having a fantastic Saturday! We currently have a bunch of youth over to snack and watch Eagle Eye! It's a great movie! Well, I'm off to continue watching it! Take care!

My First TCP Post!

Good evening everyone! I have a really fun card to show you today! I bought my first stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas awhile back and finally got a chance to use them! :D I saw last week's TCP sketch challenge and actually found time to play! You can find all the sketch details on Leigh's blog! Woohoo! Anyway, this set is called "Smells Like Cake" and it has the cutest images! I seriously can't wait to play with them again! I made this card into a 4.25 x 4.25 square card and was amazed at how well this image fit! I have definately been on a layer kick lately and I really don't know why. It's funny the phases I tend to go through. I ran the piece of tangerine card stock through my big shot with the swiss dots cb plate. I really like the detail that it adds to the card. I also colored the image with my Crayola pencils and OMS. The dsp I used is from the current SU! catalog. It is called Hawaii Papaya and it will soon be retiring so make sure you stock up! :) Well, I think the rest of this card is self-explanatory. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your evening!
