Jacksonbelle Tuesday: Pink Paislee!

Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful morning here in Orlando! :D We are headed to Sea World today! It's going to be exciting!

Anyway, today is Jacksonbelle Tuesday so I am sharing this card with you! The challenge this week is to use either Pink Paislee paper or October Afternoon paper so I picked out some Pink Paislee Enchanting, Pleasant patterned paper and Pink Paislee Office Lingo, Lunch Hour patterned paper from the Jacksonbelle store! I just love these two pieces together! They are absolutely beautiful! The stamp I used is the Lizzie Anne Cupcake set. I colored it with my Stampin' Up! markers and blender pen. I then added some Hottie Pink Shimmerz Blingz to the sprinkles. I also sewed the edge of the strip and added a rub-on to the ribbon!

Well, that's it for today's card! Make sure to check out this week's challenge details on the Jacksonbelle blog as well as the other Jacksonbelle girls!

It's Jacksonbelle Tuesday!

And this week I want you to know that Inkadinkado is on sale! :) This is one of my very favorite Inkadinkado sets because it is all about cupcakes! :D It is even called "Birthday Cupcakes"! Hehe! This week's challenge over on the Jacksonbelle blog is another sketch and it is definitely a fun one! I had no trouble putting this card together and I must admit that I love the end results! To create this card I used Pink Pirouette for the card base and layered on some Pink Paislee "Pop Fashion" paper with Almost Amthyst card stock. After cutting out the image panel with my Nestabilities I then sponged the edges of my paper for some added depth. I colored the cupcake and hearts with my colored pencils AND added some yummy Hotty Pink Shimmerz Bling to it! :) I then tied on some Stampin' Up! ribbon and adhered three pearls to the corner!

Make sure you stop by the other girls' blogs to see their gorgeous samples AND visit the Jacksonbelle blog so that you can play along! I am off to my Stampin' Up! workshop today! It is going to be a fun one! I will update you on the details tomorrow! Have a fantastic Tuesday everyone!

Clifford!

Good morning! I wanted to take the time and share this card with you. I made it for one of my good friend's little boy! He is 3 and he is OBSESSED with Clifford! Haha! I have had this My Favorite Things set for quite some time now and every time I see it I think "Someday I am going to color him red." Well, that day came and after a lot of chuckling I did it! I used last week's SCS sketch challenge as well as the My Favorite Things challenge which was to create a kid card. Yup, this is definately a kid card! ;) I colored the image in with my colored pencils and OMS and combined it with this fun paper from My Mind's Eye. Other than that, I think everything on this card is pretty self-explanatory!

I have a workshop tomorrow that I need to finish getting ready for so I suppose I should get back to work now! I am going to have a super busy week because Nick and I are leaving for vacation on Thursday and I have a ton of upcoming projects! Ok, I guess that means I had REALLY better get going or else I am going to get overwhelmed! Have a great day!

Woohoo! Cupcake Friday is Back!

Yup! You read it right, we're back with our regular Friday sketches! Taylor has moved to the FABULOUS state of Iowa! ;) LOVE IT! Since life has been so hectic for her during the move we decided to take a few much needed weeks off but I have TRULY missed them!

So this week Taylor has a great sketch for you! It was a lot of fun to work with and I really did enjoy it! :D I used yet another C.C. Designs image for this card. She is the long haired version of July Kiki and she is just darling! You can purchase her from the "All That Scraps" store along with her short haired version for only $3! As I was making this card I couldn't decide what I wanted to use as the sentiment. I wanted something that was cute yet small enough to fit in the circle so I used "What's Up?" Doesn't the sentiment just make you giggle? Hehe! :) I colored her in with my Stampin' Write Markers and added some glitter to her for an added look. The paper I used is Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird.

Well, that's it for today's card. Make sure you stop by Taylor's blog to see her card. I can't wait to see what you create with this week's sketch!

Want to see more? Sure you do! Make sure you check out the rest of the fabulous Cupcake Samplers! They're sure to be great!

Isn't She Cute???

I made this sweet box for the All That Scraps challenge from last week. I used Pixie Heidi for it and colored her with my colored pencils and OMS. I used some retired Stampin' Up! paper for the box form and added two scalloped chocolate chip strips along the top and bottom of it. The ribbon is also some retired SU! ribbon and the primas are from my stash! I really love how this box turned out and have officially claimed it as my new and improved candy dish! :D It sits on my desk now and I love it! :D

Well, that's all for today! Stop back tomorrow for another creation made by me! :D

I'm Pullin' For You!

Good afternoon! It has been one hectic day for me! First of all, I woke up at 6:30 (I am not sure why) and after that I just couldn't get back to sleep. That wouldn't be so bad but I didn't fall asleep until after 2! I have had these issues of not being able to fall asleep until 3 or 4 and the days that I do fall asleep at a decent time, I wake up SUPER early (well, early for me). So, since I have apparently become an insomniac who can't sleep (even though I'm tired), I find other ways to keep myself busy. For example, this morning when I woke up I did the dishes AND took some pictures of the recent cards I've made. Haha! Once my husband woke up I was occupied though because we had a funeral this morning. A sweet lady in our church had a stroke a couple of months ago and just didn't pull through. It was sad but it was her time and her husband is at peace with that. After the funeral we came home and as I was preparing lunch, Nick's stucco crew called and asked us if they could come eat at our house over their break. This is not unusual but I had just swept and mopped the floor and Nick has told them not to worry about removing their shoes, so they don't! Well, you can probably imagine what a floor looks like after a bunch of guys covered in stucco tromp all over it. Let's just say I had to sweep again. Great.

Ok, so now that I have rambled on and on, I am going to quickly tell you about today's card! :) On Monday, Leanne and I got together to stamp and she pulled out an adorable image of Flopsy from My Favorite Things. I have loved Flopsy since he was first introduced and had almost forgotten about him so once I saw Leanne's version, I knew it was time to pull him back out! I decided to check out the MFT sketch challenge for the week and discovered that he fit perfectly (almost) so I got to work! I colored him in with my colored pencils and OMS. He was paired up with some Cosmo Cricket "Mr. Campy" paper and sheer gold ribbon. I sewed the center panel and sponged all of the paper edges with some Antique Linen distress ink. I added some final touches by popping up the sentiment and applying the sweet pearls!

Ok, sorry for the unusually long post! I guess I was just feeling chatty! Hehe! Have a great day and I will be back tomorrow! :)

Jacksonbelle Tuesday: Hello Friend

Welcome to another Jacksonbelle Tuesday! :D This week we have another sketch for you to play along with! You can find the sketch and the details over on the Jacksonbelle blog! I tried to stick with the sketch as much as possible but I ended up not having much choice because the image I had colored was longer than I anticipated! Anyway, it's close, but not perfect! :) My card uses a cute C.C. Designs image called "Polka Dot Emma" from All That Scraps but with her are so many fantastic products! The designer paper I used is actually the new Basic Grey Lemonade paper that you can pick up at the Jacksonbelle store! I also used some dew drops and stardust stickles on my card! I colored her in with my colored pencils and gamsol. The card stock, ribbon, and rub-on are all from Stampin' Up! as well!

Well, that's it for now! I hope you are enjoying your week so far! I am getting my hair cut this afternoon and I can't wait! :D

We remember the moments.

Isn't that SO true? Whether it be good or bad, we always tend to remember the moments that take place. I can accept that I have had my good and bad moments and I try so hard not to remember the bad, but you know it as well as I do that it can sometimes be impossible to forget them. Anyway, I have been doing some reflecting on my life today because the sermon in church this morning was on convictions and the relief we feel when we finally accept those convictions and go to the source for forgiveness. My pastor summed up conviction in a way that really made a lot of sense to me. He said "Conviction is our heart's way of trying to be whole with it's maker." Isn't that so true? It is for me at least. Anyway, I just really wanted to share that with you today because it has truly been on my heart. In fact, so much so that after church I came home and had a serious breakdown! :) I am so much better now but it hurt for a while there. It's the giant breath before the plunge that's the worse though, am I right?

Ok, so this card uses the Unity June Kit of the Month. I wanted to keep the quote the main focus on my card so I didn't add any images. I used my top note die to cut out the card with kraft and then cut out a piece of Deja Views Butcher Block dp (That you can pick up at Archivers for only $1.99!). I trimmed the edges of the dp so that you could see the kraft behind it. I then stamped the quote in Night of Navy ink and layered it on some Mellow Moss card stock. The ribbon is Offray and the charm was actually in some blog candy that I won from Laurie Schmidlin (thanks girl)! :D To add a little bit more interest to the card I added 3 simple brads in the bottom corner of my card. I really love the finished look of this card and hope that you do as well!

Well, that's it for my post today! Sorry for the ramblings but I do hope that it is ok with you when I choose to share my heart. It's who I am and I want to share some of that through my crafting! :D I want to wish you all a blessed Sunday and hope that you take the time to remember the reason for this day! :) Thank you SO much for stopping by! Take care!

I {Heart} U

Happy Saturday! :D I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far! I know that I certainly am! Today Nick and I are going to town to get some errands done and the best part is that we are going on a REAL date! Haha! See, our 2nd wedding anniversary was last Tuesday and we weren't able to do anything alone so we are making plans to eat some dinner and then catch a movie tonight! I am so excited I can barely stand it! :D We are hoping to watch the new Transformers movie and I am hoping that it is good!

This card is actually one that I made for my husband on our anniversary! This cute little guy's name is Brandt and he is one of the newest digi fairies over at Paper Makeup Stamps! He was designed after one of the PMS customer's son who is deaf. As soon as I saw him I just KNEW I had to get him! Ever since Nick and I first said "I love you" we have flashed eachother the sign for it. When we were dating we had to do the long distance thing for 7 LONG months so we would get on webcam and our favorite thing to do would sign the words "I love you"! Ok, so long story short, I bought him, printed him, and made a card for Nick! I used some retired SU! Hawaii Papaya dsp and colored him in with my colored pencils. The card is absolutely adorable IRL but I can't seem to get any good pictures lately! Oh well.

Well, if you have any questions about today's card, let me know! We are off to town now! Have a fantastic day!

Hip Hop Hangover!

Good morning and welcome to my Hip Hop Hangover creation! :D I made this card for yesterday's challenge which was to create a black and white background! I took the swirly stamp from the Bevy of Butterflies kit and stamped it all over the piece of whisper white card stock. I then layered that piece on my black card base. The dragon fly was then stamped with stazon and I colored in the wings with my colored pencils and gamsol. For a prettier look I then added glitter to the body, wings, and antenna of it. I used some bermuda bay and melon mambo to balance out the color scheme too! I punched out the sentiment (also from Bevy of Butteflies) and popped it up with dimensionals after coloring it in. The last thing I did was add rhinestones and ribbon pieces to embellish the card!

Now for the news! Remember when I said I was taking a chance by trying out for the Unity Guest Designer challenge with this card? Well, yesterday I found out that they picked ME! I was blown away! I did not think I stood a chance among all the fabulous creations that had been submitted! Wowza was I excited though! :D My term will be for August and I am so thrilled!

I hope you all enjoy your Friday! I plan on getting a lot done today! :D

You Make Life Sparkle

I just LOVE this new digi image from Paper Makeup Stamps! Her name is Shaela and she is just so cute! :) I wanted to participate in the PMS release challenge which was to CASE one of Katie's cards. It was really hard for me to pick a card so I decided to choose one that was very unique! Here is the card I chose to CASE. For my card I decided to color in Shaela with my colored pencils and gamsol. I then used some paper from my KI Memories pack and pulled the colors from it! I used Ruby Red for the card base and layered on some Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Pink Pirouette, and Bermuda Bay. I cut the Pumpkin Pie piece out using my top note die and then popped the image up on top of it. The sentiment was then punched out with my oval punch and popped up as well. I then added some glitter to Shaela's wings and flower along with the word "sparkle". I finished the card up with a flower and button that I found in my stash! I hope to get a better picture of it tomorrow. The sun did not come out at all today and since my photo tent light is still broken, this will just have to do for now!

Well, that's it for today's card! I will have a Unity card to share with you tomorrow so make sure you stop back by in the morning! :D

Unity's Guest Designer Challenge

So I am taking another chance this week by entering this month's Unity Guest Designer challenge! Whew! It's a little scary, I'm not going to lie. I really feel like I put my heart on the line when I do things like this! Haha! Anyway, I don't have super high hopes because there were so many talented women who entered but at least I can say I gave it a shot, right? :) Anyway, this month's challenge was a sketch and the only other requirement was that we had to use either our May or June KOTM. I pulled out the adorable bee from the June KOTM since the image panels of the sketch were these 3 little circles. Now I wanted it to look a little bit different in each circle so I stamped the bees, colored them with my Prismacolor Pencils, and then punched them out by placing the bees in different sections of the circle (I hope that made sense). I paired the bees with my fun Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper and made it a little vintage looking by sponging the edges of my paper pieces and sewing all around the sides (this time I remembered to sew just the top flap). The sentiment is also from the June KOTM and I punched it out with my word window punch. I then spruced up the card a little bit more by adding some Kaisercraft pearls, vanilla taffeta ribbon and a giant yellow flower! Overall I REALLY like how it turned out. In fact, it is one of my favorites yet! I just hope that I'm not the only one who likes it! ;) Hehe.

Well, thanks again for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday afternoon!

All you have to do is create a card using the sketch and then upload it to your blog or gallery so that you can link it to the Jacksonbelle Blog!

For my card I used the Cosmo Cricket "Hey Sugar" paper and this fun image from the Inkadinkado Birthday Cupcakes set! I used some vanilla ribbon as well as my sewing machine to embellish on it and I colored in my cupcake using Prismacolor Pencils!

Make sure you stop by the Jacksonbelle Blog to see the other girls' cards as well as this week's challenge! I really hope that you find time to play along! I would LOVE to see what you come up with!

My Lil' Rustic Cowboy!

You don't get much cuter than him, huh? :D I have been in love with this cowboy for quite a while now and didn't realize how much I missed him! Hehe! I pulled him out for an older Lizzie Anne Designs sketch since they are having their Anniversary Celebration and got creative! Mr. Cowboy was colored in with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I also wanted to give my card a rustic look so I used the faux burnt edges technique on the image panel and distressed some of the layers as well as sponged them with some Tim Holtz Anique Linen Distress Ink. The designer paper I decided to use is from the Cosmo Cricket "Mr. Campy" line. I then decided to dust off my sewing machine and after MANY hours of trying to figure out why it wouldn't work, I sewed around the edge of my card! One little tip before sewing: DON'T SEW THE CARD SHUT! Yup, learned that one the hard way! It was like I completely forgot HOW to sew! Haha! Ok, anyway, I stamped the sentiment on my star/circle combination and distressed it up a bit. I then added some twine and vintage brads for the finished look!

Well, that's it for today's post! I hope you enjoyed today's card! I will be back tomorrow with my Jacksonbelle Challenge!

Happy 4th of July!

Well, I was able to find time to stamp today and since it is the 4th I decided to even make a patriotic card! :) I used my C.C. Designs digi stamps from All That Scraps! Isn't she so cute? You can get her as well as a long haired version for only $3! Anyway, I played along in the All That Scraps & OCC's challenge which was to use red, white, & blue as well as today's Clean & Simple sketch. I do feel like this card is missing something but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible!

Well, I am going to keep this post short so that I can get some stuff done before we go back out to the lake! Enjoy your holiday!

Friday, July 3, 2009

I'll be back soon, I promise!

Hi ladies! I just wanted to let you know that I have had a lull in my stamping time and I currently have absolutely NOTHING to share with you! Sad, I know! :D Anyway, I hope to get some crafty time in tomorrow so that I can post a creation. We will see how things play out. We were at the lake tonight and will be there part of tomorrow as well. Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy the holiday tomorrow!

More PMS! :)

Paper Makeup Stamps that is! Hehe! This is going to be a quick post because I am off to our youth night but I wanted to make sure to share this with you first! I created this card using my one of my newest digi stamps called "A Fairy for Kaleigh". I used the OCC's sketch challenge as well as the Stamp Something challenge to use 3 or more embellishments! I paired my image with some Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday dsp! She was colored using my Stampin' Write markers and her wings were glittered up using my glitter gel pen. Other than that I think this card is pretty self-explanatory! Let me know if you have a question!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great evening!
