Yikes! I Almost Forgot!

Can you believe that? I almost forgot to post a card! Sorry about that ladies! I bet you were starting to worry too huh? Hehe! Ok...I know it's late but I do have a card to share! I made this adorable Riley card a while ago for the Hanna Stamps sketch challenge over on the SCS forum! I colored this little guy using my SU! Markers (I know I still need to post a tutorial!) and found this great sentiment from one of the Studio G sets that I received from a stamping friend (I can't remember who though! Help me remember!). I just love how this card turned out! The colors are fantastic together (I pulled the color combination from the new SU! catalog) and really aren't very summery! Hehe. I guess that's ok though right??? Anyway, I guess that's all I have to share tonight! I promise to post earlier tomorrow for you early birds out there so get ready! :D Have a great night and I will "see you" back here tomorrow morning!

P.S. I did finally receive my new SU! order yesterday afternoon but I haven't had much chance to play with them yet! Last night Nick and I went over to our friends Leanne and Ryan's house for supper and I brought them along so that Leanne and I could play together! She made the cutest cards and I can't wait until she posts it! It may take awhile though because her internet is down. Make sure you stop by her blog to cheer her up. She is feeling blog deprived!

P.P.S. Are any of you out there going to the Scrapbooking Expo in Colorado Springs this Saturday? If so, let me know! Leanne and I will be there and it would be so fun to meet up! :D

You Should Have Known I Would Be Back! :D

I have new stamps to create with...remember??? :D I was able to use one stamp from each of my new sets and I really love them! This first card is the little lion from the Mindy's Zoo collection. Since I was the featured stamper this week on Splitcoast and couldn't play, I decided to case a featured stamper's card from a previous week! The stamper that I choose was Denise! :D She is so incredibly talented and I LOVE her cards! She also has a fantastic blog that you need to be sure to check out! Anyway, I chose to case this card of hers. Isn't it just adorable??? I kept the sketch the same along with the ribbon placement but changed about everything else. I really like this layout! It is so fun!

This second card was made using my OWN sketch! I told you I would do it and I did! :D Now, the sketch is simple, but a girl has to start somewhere...right? I decided to pull the owl out of my new Birds Galore set and it was perfect because as I was making it, I was actually listening to an owl across the road in a tree! It was so neat! This card was quick and easy and I can give it to a man OR a woman! Can you get much better than that? Haha!
Ok...that's it for tonight! Nick and I are going to watch one of our new $5 movies from Wal-Mart (another steal I forgot to mention)! We got Mr Deeds, Big Daddy, School of Rock, Secondhand Lions, and The Princess Bride (which was actually only $4)! We couldn't believe they were all so cheap! Such good movies too! Anyway, that's what we are doing, pizza and a movie. Have a terrific night everyone! I will be back here in the morning! :D

I'm Dragging Today!

Good afternoon everyone! I am sorry I am posting so late. After I got home from church I decided to eat lunch and watch a movie. I have been so exhausted lately from all of this running around I have had to do and I just needed to lay on the couch and relax. Well, after I finished watching the movie I decided to lay down for a short 30 min. nap. Well, a 30 min. nap turned into an hour and 30 min. nap! Haha. I was sound asleep too because Leanne stopped by and JOLTED me awake! I was so disoriented that I didn't even know where I was. Haha. So, I must apologize for slacking! :D

For this card I used Ashley's Brainwave challenge. Her sketch this week was a fun one! I love the 3 circle idea as the image! This card came along fairly quickly until I realized that it would fit this past week's Dutch Dare challenge. The challenge was to use 3 pieces of ribbon (already done) and 3 buttons. I had already planned on putting brads on both sides of the sentiment so I figured that buttons would look just as good. The problem I then faced was where to put the 3rd button. I tried every place imaginable until I finally had the idea to place it on top of the ribbon! I tried it and I liked it so that is where it stayed! I do want to mention that I used my SU! Markers to color in the images. I hurried so I am sure I could have done a better job, but overall I think it turned out pretty good! I paper pieced the cupcake cup again (I am so glad I discovered that technique). I think that sums up this card! Just in case you are curious, the cupcake image and sentiment are from Lizzie Anne and the adorable gift image is from a Studio G dollar stamp set that my secret sis sent me! Thanks so much sis! :D

Well, have a TERRIFIC Sunday afternoon! Later this evening I am going over to Leanne's to scrapbook! I have only ever made those 2 scrapbook pages so I hope things go well! Hehe. I am sure Leanne will teach me everything she knows and I will come home a pro because of it! She certainly is talented! I'm gushing, but I'm being honest! Take care!
