TCP Tuesday on Saturday!

Well, here it is, as promised! Again, the picture isn't the greatest, but oh well! I made this card for this past week's TCP Tuesday sketch challenge that was issued by Leigh . This card was actually a lot of fun to make! I pulled out my retired SU! Bali Breeze dsp (which I still love) and used some colors that I have not touched in forever! :D My card base is Rose Red (I must be feeling the Rose Red this week) and I layered on some Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive! I pulled out my TCP "Smells Like Cake" set again for this card. I popped out my ovals with my Nestabilities and stamped the dog on the white oval. I then stamped and colored the cake again so I could pop it up on dimensionals. To finish up the card I added some ribbon around my Rose Red strip and tied it off with thread. I then added stickles to the cake and brads to the side. The seniment was then punched out with my word window punch and popped up on dimensionals! I hope that are all having a fantastic day! Nick and I are going to spend the day running errands down the hill (which means in the flatlands of Pueblo)! :D Thanks for stopping by!

More Cuppie Calendars!

September Calendar Page

December Calendar Page

Good morning! I wanted to share 2 more pages of my calendar that I have finished along with the newly decorated stand! :D I actually decorated the stand AFTER I made the pages so I might end up taking the ribbon off the pages because I have noticed how much they clash with the stand! Haha! Anyway, the images are from the SASI set called A Year of Sweets 3. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color in the images and layered them on some card stock. I then added some ribbon behind each image. For some reason my camera didn't want to take a good picture so I ended up giving up! Haha! I decorated the stand using my Chocoalate Chip ribbon and Baja Breeze ribbon. I then took Ana's idea and added some pretty flowers to the front of the stand! I really do like how it turned out and it matches the color scheme of my ever evolving craft room! Haha! Well, that's it for this post! Stay tuned because I will have a card to share a little later this afternoon! Have a wonderful day!

Yippee for Viva la Verve! :)

So...do you remember my card from last week's Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge??? What...you don't? Oh, that's right! I completely forgot to post it! Haha! Surprise, surprise! Well, I guess I will share it on the next post because Amber (the Viva la Verve hostess) emailed me this week asking me to be her Design Diva for today's Sketch with a Twist! Can you believe it??? I sure couldn't! Haha! Anyway, this is the card that I made for today's sketch. This week's sketch twist was to use some sort of embossing so I pulled out my fabulous Swiss Dots embossing folder. I wanted to use this piece of My Mind's Eye dp on my card so I pulled my color combo for it and then proceeded to pick out the Verve set I wanted to use. This set is one that I just love! It is called Jeremiah 29:11. I pulled the cross from this set and stamped it in Really Rust. I then cut it out and popped it up on some ovals that were punched out with my Nestabilities. I rounded the corners of my front panel, added some chocolate ribbon around the middle, and then popped it up on my card base. The final touch were the brads in the corners. I was originally going to put a sentiment somewhere on this card but couldn't find a place that I liked so I stamped the verse Proverbs 3:5 on the inside. If you want to see my card from last week's sketch, you can find it here. Make sure that you take part in this week's sketch because it was so much fun! You can find the details here.

Thanks so much again for stopping by! I hope you enjoy your evening!

Last Week's Viva La Verve With a Twist of Flowers!

Well, since I had my momentary brain lapse, I am just now getting around to sharing this card with you! This is the card I made for last week's Viva la Verve Sketch With a Twist of Flowers challenge! Apparently I did an ok job on it too because Amber asked me to sample this week's sketch! Haha! Sorry for not posting it sooner. It's too bad I am such a ding-bat sometimes! :D Anyway, this card uses my new Verve Meditations set! This set is seriously fabulous! I just love the flowery images and the Psalm 19:14 verse in it! I used the smaller flowers for my card along with the verse. I paired them with my Candy Lane dsp and Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon. Each piece of paper was sponged with some Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink. I popped the flowers up on dimensionals and added some brads to the centers. I also added 3 brads to the bottom right corner. The final touch was the bow at the top of the card! To be honest, I love this card. I just love the feel that it has! Thanks for taking a peek!

TECC53 With a There She Goes Sneak Peek!

Good morning everyone! First of all I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who played in last week's challenges! It was so fun looking at all of your creations! I have posted the winner farther down in this post! I hope you are all having a wonderful morning so far! Today has been so much better than yesterday and I'm technically only 3 hours into my morning! I am full of hope that the rest of the day will just continue to be better! :) Anyway, today is Friday (yippee!) so that means it's time for another one of Taylor's fabulous Cupcake Challenges! This week's sketch was fabulous! I seriously don't know how she comes up with all of these sketches! I used a soon-to-be released set from There She Goes called "Flowers of Happiness". I can't tell you how incredibly beautiful the stamps in this set are! I think this is probably my new favorite set from There She Goes and that is saying a lot! :D Jessica just really outdid herself with this one! I stamped the flower twice on watercolor paper, water colored them with my SU! markers and blender pen, cut them out, and layered them with dimensionals. I just love the 3D effect that this layered flower has! The designer paper I used is from My Mind's Eye and I paired it with Very Vanilla and Rose Red card stock! I tried to keep this card fairly simple and elegant so I added some Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon as well as some Vanilla pearls. Overall, I am really pleased with how this card turned out! It was one that turned out just how I had envisioned it! :)

ETA: I forgot to post my random winner from last week's sketch challenge! The winner was post #79 who was ariellehemp with this card! Congratulations Arielle!

TSG Sneak Peak: You're So Punny...AND MORE BLOG CANDY!

Ok, I have to tell you that I absolutely LOVE this soon to be released set from There She Goes! It is called "You're So Punny" and it has the cutest images and sentiments! This set was one that was inspired by the very talented Holly McMillen (aka: Toy on SCS)! Isn't Mr. Squirrel just adorable? I think he would work perfectly on a masculine or little boy card! In fact, I made this card for my husband for Valentine's Day! I just love how versatile it really is! :D Anyway, this set will be released on Sunday, along with two others, and to kick off this new release we will be having a rockin' party over at Paper Craft Planet in the There She Goes forum from 7-9 p.m. Pacific Time. At that time, Jessica will reveal all three sets and announce the winner for the challenge that she has going on this week. What is the challenge you ask? Well let me tell you! :D This month's challenge is all about GOING DIMENSIONAL! That means you need to include dimensionals on your card in some form or another! Make sure you use your There She Goes stamps in order to be eligible though! Stop by Jessica's blog to get all of the details! Now of course this was not difficult for me since I can hardly make a card WITHOUT them! Haha! In fact, I used 3 different sizes of dimensionals on this card (got the idea from Jessica)! Make sure when you complete the challenge, that you upload it to SCS with the keyword TSG03. If your name is picked, you will then win one of the newly released sets! How cool is that??? :) But wait! There is more! Leave me a comment on this post and I will randomly select a winner who will receive a There She Goes mini set! The winner will be announced at the release party at Paper Craft Planet on Saturday night! So...two chances at blog candy! Can't beat that! :D Well, before I get to the details of the card, I also want to give a shout out to Julie Lacey who is this month's There She Goes guest designer! Welcome Julie! :D You will also want to stop by the other TSG Design Team members' blogs so that you can see some more sneak peeks!

Anyway, for the details on my card, I saw Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge yesterday and decided to play with it! I am really starting to enjoy making square cards! I paired Mr. Squirrel with some My Mind's Eye dp. I just love the soft colors in this piece of paper. I think the pattern is just fantastic too. I layered it on Very Vanilla and Close to Cocoa card stock. I also popped up Mr. Squirrel on a piece of Sage Shadow card stock. I colored him with my Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I sponged down all of my sides with my Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink and sponge daubers. For my final touch I added 6 vintage brads to the top and side of my card!

I really hope that you enjoyed today's post! Make sure you stop by tomorrow morning for another sneak peek! I really love tomorrow's set too! :D

Also, don't forget about the sketch challenge and blog candy opportunity from this post!

The Lord Bless You

Good morning! Is anyone else shocked that I have posted two cards this week BEFORE I went to work??? I certainly am! Haha! Anyway, I have had this card in my stash just waiting to be posted at the perfect time and I believe that today is the day! :D I really like this card. The colors are so sweet together and I think the rhinestones look cute with the fish. Nick says that they look like bubbles! Hehe! Anyway, I combined a lot of different things with this card. I used my Bella Rose dsp and Urban Garden dsp. I stamped the fish from the Our Daily Bread Designs set called "Flourished Christian Symbols" in Kiwi Kiss and the verse in Chocolate Chip. I added a Kiwi Kiss scallop to the top of the main panel and popped the entire front up on dimensionals. I then tied a piece of Pink Pirouette ribbon around the card and glued on some pink dew drops. This card was fairly simple to make. The only difficult part was being patient with the rhinestones! :P Welp, that's it for today. Make sure you stop by tomorrow because I will have some fun sneak peeks from There She Goes! I will also be offering up some MORE blog candy! Stay tuned for that! Enjoy!

You Light Up My Life

Well I am posting this SUPER early but I wanted to show it off before the new Mojo Monday sketch came out! Haha! It doesn't really matter either way but, to be honest, I love this card! Haha! I am so glad that I bought this new BasicGrey "Archaic" paper! It works great on masculine or feminine cards! I decided to make a masculine card this evening so I used a green and brown color scheme. I also pulled out my Verve "Polka Stars" set. I am really enjoying this set. It is one of the last sets that Verve still had in stock that is rubber. They are super cheap right now too ($4.25) so make sure you snatch one up! I sponged on some Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink to the sides of my panels to give it more of a "dirty" look and added some brads to the lower right corner. The half circles were cut with my nestabilities and I popped up the sentiment on dimensionals. Well, that about sums up this card! Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Philippians 4:13

Good evening everyone! I am going to keep this post fairly short so that I can have a chance to stamp! :D I didn't find much time to sit down and create this weekend because I worked so hard on my craft room and other areas of my house so I am excited to find time tonight!

For this card I used my Verve Plain Jane stamp called "Philippians 4:13". I think this verse is so uplifting and it would work perfectly on a sympathy or get well card. Anyway, I wanted to keep my card clean and elegant so I used a monochromatic color scheme of Very Vanilla and Sage Shadow. I pulled a piece of this beautiful paper from the My Mind's Eye paper pack I have. I then layered it on some Very Vanilla and Sage Shadow card stock. I used my scallop edge punch on the bottom layer of Very Vanilla and then popped up the top panel on dimensionals. The verse was heat embossed and cut out with my nestabillities. I then added some pearls to the side of the card and a piece of taffeta ribbon.

Well, I hope you all have a fantastic evening! Before I go I want to share some wonderful blog candy opportunities with you!

First of all, the fabulous Jessica (as in...THE Jessica from There She Goes) is giving away three stamp sets in honor of her blogiversary so make sure you check that out!

Also, Giovana is celebrating her blogiversary and has some great candy that she is giving away! :)

Good luck to all you ladies out there! I obviously can't play in Jessica's drawing but I can sure try for Giovana's! Hehe! :D

Another Valentine!

Sorry this post is so late this evening. I have spent the entire day reorganizing my craft room! I decided to sort through my stuff and do a little bit of purging. Well, I guess I did a lot of purging! The only problem I am facing is...what to do with it? ;) I have a lot of fabulous things that would work well for scrapbooking but I am facing a delima because I don't ever scrapbook! Haha! Hmmm...what oh what could I do with it??? You may just hear the answer in the near future so stay tuned!

Anyway, I saw the OCC sketch challenge this morning and couldn't wait to play so I pulled a couple of my There She Goes sets and got to work! The sets I used were "Special Delivery" and "Year Round Sentiments". My original idea was to put the heart inside one of the round sentiments from the "Year Round Sentiments" set (since that's what it is made for" but after I had finished it, I thought it looked funny so I just kept the heart! I am still not sure exactly how I feel about this card but it is definitely growing on me! I for some reason feel like something is missing.

My card base is Very Vanilla and I layered on a piece of Close to Cocoa and a piece of Riding Hood Red. I ran the Riding Hood Red piece through my Big Shot with the Swiss Dots embossing folder because I felt like it needed some texture. I then pulled out a scrap piece of dsp from the SU! "Candy Lane" pack and layered it on another piece of Close to Cocoa card stock. I glued down a piece of Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon on top of the strip as well. Also, do you see those adorable little rhinestones in the corners of the dsp? Those are from the fabulous Taylor's Tiny Twinkles set that you can purchase from Taylored Expressions! I mentioned yesterday that there was a special on them! Here it is:

Also, in honor of CHA, Taylor has some fantastic specials going on over at Taylored Expressions! These specials will be going on from now until Wednesday, January 28th.

Cupcake Anniversary Challenge And A Chance To Win!

WARNING: Long post! Make sure you read it all for a chance to win!

Good morning everyone! Welcome to another fabulous Friday. Today is EXTRA fabulous because Taylor is celebrating the one year anniversary of the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge! She asked each of the ladies on the Weekly Cupcake Crew to design a sketch for the celebration. This is the sketch I designed and I hope you'll all play along with the challenge! I will be selecting one random winner from among all the participants in my challenge to win a $10 gift certificate from Taylored Expressions!

All you have to do is make a creation using this sketch (a card or scrapbooking layout) and post your creation to Splitcoast using keyword TECC52SH. The deadline to be eligible for the prize drawing is Thursday, January 29th. I'll do the drawing on Thursday evening and announce the winner on Friday, January 30th.

For my card I decided to use my much neglected SU! "Party Hearty" set. I pulled the color combination from the fun Hawaii Papaya dsp. The base of my card is Whisper White and I layered on a piece of Kiwi Kiss card stock which I ran through my Big Shot with my Swiss Dots cb folder. I then added the small strip of dsp and tied a piece of 1" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon to cover my paper seam. For the image, I pulled out the fun cupcake from the set and stamped it once in Kiwi Kiss and once in Chocolate Chip. I then pieced the two together so that I could get a multi-colored cupcake. I also stamped the candles in Tangerine Tango and attatched them as well. I then popped the whole thing up on the 1 3/8" circle. The final touch was to add the "Birthdays are the best" sentiment from the Chit-Chat rub on pack.

I also have three wonderful ladies who have sampled my sketch! Make sure you stop by their blogs to see each of their spectacular creations!

Don't forget to stop by Taylor's blog, the anniversary celebration headquarters, and check out the awesome grand prize for one random winner who participates in ALL 9 sketch challenges! You can find all 9 sketches on these blogs:

Now...For Something Different!

It's a new Kim Hughes set (well, new to me) called "The Birds and the Bees"! Yippee! I just adore these little love birds. They are so cute! I couldn't wait to ink them up and color! I actually used the two Prismacolor Pencils that I own to color in this image and I really like how it turned out. I still feel that they are little pricey for what I can do with Crayolas but my collection will slowly grow! :) I used more of my Candy Land dsp on this card and combined it with some Riding Hood Red and Chocolate card stock as well as my Pink Pirouette ribbon. I used the 1 3/4" circle punch and layered it on a scalloped circle that I cut with my nestabillities! The sentiment was stamped on some more dsp and then layered on Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip card stock. To finish the card, I added 3 vintage brads to the upper left hand corner!

Well guess what...today is really special because today you get to see TWO cards in one post! Woohoo! It's a pretty good day huh? :)I made this card using another stamp from my new Kim Hughes' set called "The Birds and the Bees". I went for the simple look with these two cards. In fact, this card only has two layers! That might be a record for me! I again colored in the bubble "Love" sentiment with my red Prismacolor pencil. I layered on some Very Vanilla card stock and some more Candy Lane dsp. It is hard to see in the picture but I also added some score lines with my ScorPal (a Christmas gift) right above the very vanilla panel. I then embellished it with some Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon and 3 pearls from the Pretties Kit.

Well, there ya go! Two cards for you to enjoy and two cards for me to clear off my desk! Haha!

Before I go, I need to mention that you MUST stop by tomorrow because we are going to be celebrating the first anniversary of Taylor's Cupcake Challenges! Let me just mention that there will be lots of prizes involved! :D I can't give any details yet but I can tell you that it will be amazing!

Well, until then, have a great evening!

A Hundred Hearts!

Good evening everyone! It is quite around here tonight because my hubby and my bro are both at youth tonight. I usually go but wasn't able to tonight due to some unforeseen stomach issues! I am not sure what upset it so bad but I can hardly walk without having issues! Ok...anyway...TMI...I know! My whole point of telling you that was that I have time to share this card with you as well as go and make some more! As long as I am sitting, I am fine!

I made this card using my brand new Verve stamps! I actually won this set at the last stamp release (Thanks Julee) called "Hundred Hearts" and I am so glad I did because it is fabulous! I love all the sentiments and verses that are included in it! I am sure you will be seeing some others in the near future! :) The sketch that I used for this card was from this past Friday's Viva la Verve sketch with a twist of pink! Now, if you know me, you know I LOVE pink and that this challenge would be easy for me. Well, I have to admit that it really was! :D The only part I struggled with was trying to get the hearts to fit. I actually was supposed to have 3 circles but instead substituted the middle circle with the sentiment. The dsp I used is actually some new paper from SU! called Candy Lane. I just love the colors and patterns that are included in this pack of paper! I decided to use the two pieces of dsp and layer them on some Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, and Pink Pirouette card stock. I used my new (thanks to my hubby) Martha Stewart scallop lace punch to add a little flair. I then tied some Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon over the middle of the card and popped the sentiment up on top of that. I guess that really sums up this card but if you do have a question, just leave a comment.

Well, I'm off to go stamp! I am going to play around some more of these fantastic sketch challenges that I haven't had a chance to use yet! I will hopefully be able to get a lot done this evening! Take care and good night!

How About Some Our Daily Bread Designs?

Ok, ok...I'll switch it up a little! :D Instead of showcasing some Verve today, how about I showcase some gorgeous Our Daily Bread Designs??? I don't think anyone actually complained but I really want to share my love of ODBD with you as well! I seriously can't get over how amazing this company really is! I am SO glad I found them! :D This set in particular has been great because when I am looking for a quick and easy card, all I have to do is pick which stamp to use, ink, stamp, and voila...image complete! Haha! I actually have to admit that I haven't inked my lighthouse stamp up yet though...shame on me...I plan on using it tonight though! Woohoo! Ok, anyway, enough of my random ramblings! This card was one I made for the Our Daily Bread Designs first sketch challenge! The sketch was a really neat one and so this card came together quickly! I, again, used my Flourished Christian Symbols set and paired it with some BasicGrey Sugared paper and gold ribbon that I received from Maria (love ya girl)! I added some sponging with more mustard to the edge of the image panel and then topped it off with some felt flowers from the SU! Flower Fusion II set. For those of you who are wondering...yes, I did include a sentiment...it's just on the inside of the card. :) Well, I think that certainly sums up this card! If you have questions, let me know!

Can You Stand Some More???

Ok...so if you haven't noticed, I'm kind of on a Verve kick! I have been all about these fantastic stamps lately! I just think that they make the most uplifting cards and I love being able to share my beliefs with my blog readers! Anyway, this card uses two different Verve stamps: "Polka Stars" (which is currently on sale), and a Plain Jane called "1 Thessalonians 5:17-18" To make this card I used last Wednesday's SCS sketch challenge! Can you believe that I am not late with this one??? Haha! Anyway, I also went to Archiver's this weekend and picked up some of this new fabulous "Archaic" paper by BasicGrey. While I was there I also decided to try out some Tim Holtz Distress Ink on my paper edges and I absolutly love the affect that it has. For some reason, it just looks different than when I sponge my SU! inks over the edge of the card stock. Who knows why. I also used more of my Bazzill card stock that I got free from Archiver's! :D I just love that store! To finish up the card I added some SU! vintage brads to the top and bottom corner! Well, that about sums it up for this card! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I hope you all have an enjoyable evening! My Bible Study girls should be here pretty soon so I need to get ready for that!

Jeremiah 29:11

I have to tell you that as soon as I saw the sneak peeks for this set from all the Verve Divas I knew I had to have it. This is my absolute favorite Bible verse. When I was a senior in high school, this was the quote that I had them use! I also think that it looks beautiful layered on top of the very simple, yet elegant cross image. If you want a wonderful stamp set that will portray your faith, I would recommend this one! :D Anyway, I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge for this card. I almost forgot about this fabulous sketch. My printer broke and it hadn't printed it out for me yet. I finally got it fixed today and out shot this sketch! Whoops! :) Anyway, I am kind of glad that I waited because I was able to use this new Verve set AND my fabulous new flowers that I got at Michael's. The dp I used on this card is from my BasicGrey Sugared pad. I also used some Really Rust card stock and Very Vanilla card stock along with some Bazill brown card stock that I picked up at Archiver's for free! I cut out my circles using my circle Nestabilities and popped them up on dimensionals. I then used my Walnut Stain Distress Ink to sponge on the sides. Well, I think that covers everything I used on this card! I really like the finished look and I hope you do as well! Have a fantastic night and don't forget that the new SU! catalog comes out tomorrow around noon! Yippee!

Viva la Verve!

Here is my card from last Friday's Viva la Verve with a twist of bling! I really like how this card turned out! I am definitely into the white/simple background look this past month! I am not sure if it is because I love my Swiss Dots cb folder or what! Anyway I use my Verve Plain Jane stamp for this card and paired it with my Hawaii Papaya dsp. I also added some Zva Creation crystals to the corners of the card! I hope you enjoyed today's post! We are off to Colorado Springs to do some shopping! Have a wonderful day!

Yummy Cupcakes!

Good afternoon! This is my second post for the day so if you are looking for my Cupcake Challenge card, scroll down! :) Anyway, I wanted to share this simple card that I made for the Stamp Something challenge blog using my stamps from There She Goes. This week's challenge was to make a Birthday card. Easy peasy huh? Oh, and for all of those of you thinking this...yes I know that this card has cupcakes and the Cupcake Challenge card doesn't! Haha! At least I got something cupcakey posted today! :D The cupcakes on this card are from the set called "LOL Taglines" and the sentiment is from the set "Special Delivery". I stamped the cupcakes 4 times on the piece of whisper white card stock and I then colored them in my with Crayola pencils and OMS. I then layered that on top of my Baja Breeze and So Saffron card stock. The bottom layer of Baja Breeze was punched with the scallop edge punch and I then paper pierced each little scallop. I embossed the sentiment using my white embossing powder. To finish this simple card I added some Pumpkin Pie ribbon to the top. Well, I think that about sums it up for this card. It's so easy! It was another quick one too! :) I am done with work for the day so I am going to attempt to get my house picked up and then I hope to make some more cards! I am looking forward to it! Have a wonderful afternoon! I will be back tomorrow!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #51

Good morning! It's Friday and I am sadly working. Boo. Anyway, the good news is that it is time for another Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge! Woohoo! :) The other good news is that I should be done with work around noon. Yippee!!! Ok, anyway, make sure you get all the sketch deets from Taylor's blog. We would love to have you play along! This week's sketch was a fun and easy one! I actually was able to put this card together in less than a half hour! That's super fast for me! :) I have been wanting to play with my new "Ed the Moose" stamp by Kim Hughes and this sketch fit him perfectly! I paired him up with the "Happy Camper" sentiment that is in Kim Hughes' "Bear Hugs" set too. As far as the rest of the card is concerned, I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and then ran my Kiwi Kiss background through my Big Shot with my Swiss Dots cb folder. I also used my Hawaii Papaya dsp for the strips and added some vintage brads to the end. There is no ribbon on this card either which is a HUGE shocker! :D I actually really do like how this card turned out. It is fairly simple, which is good. I do, however, feel like something is missing. Any suggestions?

Well, that's it for me today! I hope that you enjoy today's sketch. Make sure you stop by Taylor's blog to see her card. You also will want to check out this week's Featured Sampler. Taylor has chosen Jenn Diercks to help us out this week. Let's just say that I am one of Jenn's biggest blog stalkers. :D

Want to see more? Sure you do! Make sure you check out the rest of the fabulous Cupcake Samplers! They're sure to be great!

Last Week's SCS Sketch and an OCC Challenge!

Before I share my card I have to shout out this out... "I GOT MY NEW SU! CATALOGS AND THEY ARE AMAZING!" Haha. Ok, I feel better! Wow, I am not kidding when I say that this catalog rocks! I know I said this about the last catalog but I must say that this one is the best yet! My wish list is HUGE! Ok, enough about the catalog. If you want one, shoot me an email and we can talk! Now on to my card.

I'm posting a little earlier than usual (yay!) so I should have more time to chat tonight! Hehe! I hope that you all had a wonderful day. Mine was actually pretty laid back. My Thursday's at school are usually pretty easy because my kids are at specials a lot but today was even more relaxing because we had a movie and popcorn party. It was a lot of fun and I know that they really enjoyed it.

Anyway, I made this card for last week's (yes I know...another late one) SCS sketch challenge and OCC's challenge to use two colors of blue and a neutral. I again paired my Verve Stamps with my Our Daily Bread Designs stamps for this card. I used the cross from the ODBD set called "Flourished Christian Symbols" (told you I would love this set) and the verse is one of the Plain Jane stamps from Verve! I just think these stamps pair up so nicely! Anyway, the two blues I used were Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze. These are my absolute two favorite blues ever so it was not question that I would pick them. I used more of my Urban Garden dsp and embossed my white background with my swirls cb embossing folder. To finish up this card I added some Baja Breeze ribbon and some Not Quite Navy Brads. I love the finished look! Well, that's it for tonight! I will be back in the morning with my Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge card! :) Have a great night!

TCP Tuesday...Errr...Wednesday & A Sketch For You To Try

Yup, I combined two challenges on this card and both were actually from Jen del Muro's blog this week! :D I used Jen's weekly Sketch For You To Try AND since she was this week's TCP Tuesday challenge host, I used her color challenge as well! The color challenge this week was to use Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Taken with Teal. I just happen to love this color combination so it was a piece of cake for me (hehe...no pun intended). Anyway, I am really happy with how this card turned out. The brads really do match too but they look less olivey in the picture. Anyway, this is another late post so I am going to keep it short. One of these days I am going to be able to post earlier than 10 min. before bed! Hehe! Sorry again for the shortness of it! Enjoy your sleep ladies!
