Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #23

Happy Friday AND 4th of July everyone! It's not actually a very happy Friday here. We had some tragic news last night about one of the youth that was on staff at the camp we work with. If you could just pray for his family and the rest of the people who were on staff with him that would be great. He was riding his bike at the camp and was struck by lightning and killed. It is heartbreaking but we know he's with the Lord. He was such a sweet guy. He had a great heart and he loved the Lord.

Anyway, I made this card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge! Since today is the 4th of July we decided to do a 4th of July theme. I don't have any 4th of July stamps but I do have this cute star stamp that looks like fireworks so I used it! I got this awesome dp from Leanne when I went to her house last Sunday. We decided to trade some dp and I am so glad I picked this piece! It was perfect for the card! To add some dimension I stamped each star twice and cut them out. I then popped up the inner star in a different color and finished them off by adding some crystal effects. Here is a picture of what it looks like from the side. Well, I think that's all for now. Make sure you check out Taylor's amazing card along with this week's featured stamper, Michelle! You can visit her blog, Just Painting Around, too!
