A Fun Sketch Challenge!

Today's sketch challenge on Splitcoast was so much fun that I had to make TWO!

For this first card I combined the sketch challenge with Danielle's inspiration challenge over on the Paper Pretties forum. Danielle gave us this amazing comforter to use as our inspiration and she asked us to use the colors brocade blue, close to cocoa, sage shadow, and very vanilla. I wasn't so sure about putting these colors together until I actually did it! Don't they just look fabulous together? I think so! I used some of my My Mind's Eye dp for the background and the little flowery strip. I was amazed at how close the colors actually are when compared to the SU! colors. They are almost identical! I then decided to pull out my little Paper Pretties watering can and color it in using my SU! markers and blender pens! I LOVE the effect that it gives! Anyway, I finished up this card by adding some pearls from my Pretties kit and some very vanilla taffeta ribbon!

For this next card I used my new Unity stamps! The tree and the bird are from the Giggle Grove set and the sentiment is from the Cupcakes A'La Yummy set. I used more of the My Mind's Eye dp along with some of this fantastic ribbon that I got from Taylored Expressions. I added some Taylor Tots to the tree, paper pierced along the sides and punched out my sentiment for the finished look! Oh, I also want to mention that the tree and the bird are paper pieced too!

Thanks so much for stopping by this afternoon! I will be back in a little bit with some awards and possibly another card!
