Did Someone Say BLOG CANDY???

Howdy everyone! Long time no post! Things have been so insanely busy this past week! I hate being sick because it takes so long to get caught up with everything. Anyway, this is the first night that I have actually been home so I am taking this opportunity to finally post! :) How about some blog candy??? Today is the new release day for There She Goes and we are celebrating! The set that Jessica is releasing today is this fabulous set called "Spooktacular Silhouettes"!

Spooktacular Silhouettes
* 6"x8"
* Set of 16 stamps
*$20

Isn't it awesome??? I just love the simplicity of it! The great thing about it is that it is so versatile too. Can't you just imagine the house and tree on a card OTHER than Halloween? I certainly can!

So, do you want to hear about the blog candy? Leave a comment on THIS post telling me how you like to celebrate Halloween, if you do, and I will draw a name on Friday, October 3! The winner will then receive a stamp set from the lovely Jessica! :) Good luck!

Also, make sure you check out these other There She Goes Design team blogs to look for some more chances to win:

I like to spend Halloween by dressing up my daughter and taking her trick-or-treating... This year she wanted to be a "Cowgirl" to match my 1 yr old nephew...

I am so glad you are feeling better and getting back on track. We like to spend halloween dressing up my daughter and handing out candy to the kids in town. This year I think we may spend it with my 2 nieces.

We travel down to my hometown early in the morning to see all the kids in the kiddies parade. After that we grab a hot dog from a vendor downtown and play a game or two at the street festival. To finish out the day we sit on my sister's front lawn to watch the evening parade with marching bands and floats. Then my favorite part is a big bon fire like cookout! So much fun!

I love to make Halloween everything, cards, scrapbook pages, albums. My only problems is that I'm running out of Halloween pics to work with.

Anthonette said...

Each year, we wish we had organized a big party with our friends and their kiddos. We still haven't done it. A few days before Halloween, we decorate the outside with non-scary decorations and lights. We carve a few pumpkins. I stay home to hand out treats, while my husband takes my son around the neighborhood to get treats. The door bell rings non-stop. I barely have time for a bathroom break!

Kristin said...

The last few years we take the kids to our church's carnival- all dressed up in costumes to play games and get lots of candy. Then, home to greet our trick or treaters from the neighborhood.

I like to celebrate with my family and friends we have a Pirate Party!

The whole family heads out to visit our favorite neighbors. My favorite part is watching my two girlies carefully position themselves and ring the bell. it is their own private fashion show moment, and they get candy.

I like Halloween with my niece & nephew...I love seeing them dressed up in their cute little outfits running all around the neighborhood. I like to also answer the front door for all the trick or treaters to see how cute they look too.

That is such a cute set! I enjoy spending Halloween answering the door for the little kids and seeing what cute costumes they are wearing! Too bad this year I live in an apartment and won't get anyone stopping in!

We decorate the apartment and then wait for the treaters to show up . My son is 14 this year so I am not sure if he will go out to get treats or not .
Would love to win TSG stamps

I love to pass out candy to the neighborhood kids and see what they are dressed as. The little ones can be so cute. The looks on their faces when you give them candy is too precious so I don't mind if they don't say thank you.

No real Halloween here in Belgium. The children in some areas dress up and go out for candy, but not where I live. Thanks for a chance to win! Greetings, Annelies

Since my girls are all grown up and living away from me, I always enjoy giving out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I usually take a few photos of them (if the parents allow it). Also our school dresses up for Halloween, students and staff, if they want.
Thanks for a chance to win this wonderful set.

Anonymous said...

Glad you feeling better. Have missed your updates and cards. We do trunk or treat at our church. The kids have a wonderful time. At least 300 people come. The parents are a hoot also. I love blog candy. Never have won it but I enjoy trying. Maybe one day. Keep making those awesome cards.

Anonymous said...

My kids are no longer at home and where I live is pretty quiet so we only get maybe 15 trick or treaters So I just decorate a little and usually do up extra special (Lots and lots) treat bags. When my kids were younger I used to dress up, put on scarry Halloween tapes and scare the trick or treaters half to death, hehehehe.

For my family, Halloween starts in September because my DH is a Screamster at Cedar Point (you can see him here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ouwc9NPIJkY). Then the week before Halloween, we take our dds to CP's special trick or treat night for the local school kids. Another night we take them to the assisted living place where my mom and my aunt live and then we end with trick or treating in our neighborhood which is usually on Halloween.

Anonymous said...

i celebrate halloween by sitting on my porch with bowls of candy waiting for the over 200 (yup over 200) trick or treaters we get yearly.
our neighborhood is festively decorated(all the neighbors decorate)
and the fun and safe environment is wonderful!

I love this set so much! I really hope I can get it.
For Halloween we get the kids all dressed up and go trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. We usually end up hooking up with some neighbors and walk around together. The kids have a blast. Some of our neighbors have "haunted" houses for the kids to go through. The kids also love passing out candy so we come back home in time for them to do that awhile. Of course, then there's the candy. We let the kids eat a few pieces. We're so glad Halloween isn't on a school night this year! :)

Thanks for the opportunity!! My little one has never really been interested in Halloween, but we usually visit a few relatives and go out to dinner (after all, nobody else is going out to dinner!)

Thanks for the inspiration and the opportunity!!

We have a big party with just adults. We don't dress up or anything but I usually have the patio all decorated in fall stuff. Not so much Halloween but just a nice Bon Fire kind of party with out the big fire, just a small outdoor fire pit. We usually eat stuff like pumpkin soup and grilled Turkey legs. So lot's of fall food. It's so fun.

I spend Halloween with my family which now consists of 3 grandchildren (2 adult daughters). It is also my birthday:) Everyone usually celebrates it more than I do:)

GLAD YOUR BACK!!! I'm itching for some steph creations but blog candy is okay too :)
I like to spend halloween taking pics of my kids. They are always so adorable in costumes. trick or treating is never much fun here in CO. It's always so cold and the costumes aren't as cute with winter coats and hats on over them...lol!!!

I love Halloween with the decorating and fun of scrapping it and making cards. We start with having a Trick A Trunk @ our church for the youth then go to some houses to trick or treat and visit friends. We usually end the night up with the older kids "rolling" a few yards. It is a great night of fun and pictures and then I still have nights of fun afterwards....eating and scrapping!!! Hope you have a great one! -- LaCee lgaley@charter.net

This is the 2nd Halloween my husband I will spend together (no kids yet). We tried to have a party last year with not much luck so this year we're going to follow his families tradition of chinese take out and watch scary movie :)

I LOVE Halloween. Every year I dress up to give out candy to all the kids. My trick or treaters don't just receive candy out of bowl, I make individual treat bags for them--usually between 50 adn 100.
My "special kids" don't receive cand at all--they receive McDonald's GC and homemade cookies.

Marji said...

Oh boy! A chance for blog candy! We love Halloween and celebrate every year at our church by participating in Trunk-or-Treat. We have over 1000 kids come, alot for our small town and another way to spread the Gospel.

How funny! Just last night I had a dream about Halloween and little Trick or Treaters! We live in a rural area so we dont get to hand out goodies(which in my dream we were in a new house and there were children trick or treating everywhere!! LOL!)
However, what we do is our church has a safe Trick or Treat celebration by opening up the parking lot and everyone comes in their cars, some are even decorated, and we have treats and the kids go car to car! Isnt that Wonderful? We get many kids and its so much fun! Parents love it, kids love it!! Everyone is a Happy Trick or Treater!!
Gald youre feeling better Steph!! Big Hugs!

Lynn Mercurio said...

What fun. My DH & I usually spend the first part of Halloween answering the doorbell, handing out candy and admiring all the cute kiddies in costume. The later part of the evening, after we turn off the porch light, is to watch a scary movie. Acutally, the entire month of October we watch scary movies to get "in the spirit" of the holiday. :)

With 4 boys, what else is there to do but trick-or-treat! The older 2 are "too old" to go anymore, but my 2 younger ones love the candy. We live in the country, so once we hit about 5 houses the treat bags are full...we always take an extra bag to unload into. Love your cards, and thanks for the chance to win.

Steph: The kids are all grown and have their own little ones to run around on Halloween night with - so we stay home and hand out the CANDY to all the neighborhood kids-WHICH THERE ARE MANY. We decorate the house all up and even dig up graves out in the front yard with headstones-light candles in the driveway and have the freaky music going (which gets turned off for when the little kids come up to the door) and sometimes I even dress up to hand out the candy. It's a FRIGHTFULLY good time at our house on Halloween night. Count me in for this blog candy! And thanks for this amazing stamp set. Kadie

PS - SO GLAD that you are feeling better. Can only image your students are happy to see you back to "good health".

While my kids are out trick or treating or at Halloween parties, I open my family room window and put the boom box in it with scary music playing REALLY loud. It scares all the neighborhood kids. One year I used the Karaoke machine and talked in the microphone saying, "Bring me your candy!" in a scary voice. They think I'm nuts, but it makes the holiday a little more fun since I'm the one staying home giving out the candy.
