Christmas in July!

Sorry for another late post, this week has just been so chaotic! I finished this card early this morning but couldn't get a good picture of it and when I finally did, the gas man came over and I had to help him with some things. After he left I only had 10 min. to get to work and I had to walk. That meant there would be no posting for me! So, here it is, a little late. The picture is not the greatest either. This week's SCS sketch challenge was a crazy one! It was so hard for me to figure out. I knew that I wanted to use this set (which I am so sad to hear it is retiring!) because it had never seen ink! Yikes! I love it too! Anyway, the part I struggled with were the little squares. The two big squares were supposed to be the same size but I just couldn't get it to work out that way. That's why it looks a little off. Oh well, I like it anyway. I also wanted to use some bling on this card for the Stamp Something challenge so I added the rhinestone brads from the pretties kit and the iridescent ice embossing powder. I love the colors of this card too! My wrapping paper for this next Christmas (I always buy my Christmas stuff when it is on clearance) is this color so I am super excited! Leanne gave me this great dp so I will have to find out where she got it! Well, I think that's all for tonight. We had youth this evening and Nick gave an incredible lesson on life and it's uncertainties. Having someone close to you die (especially when they are only 16) can really make you rethink what is important. Can you imagine riding your bike one minute and standing before the gates of heaven the next? Crazy! I think it would be incredible! Anyway, Nick's lesson was neat. It touched my heart as well as a lot of the youth's! :D I am off to bed now! Later!

Steph, this is really lovely! I think the ribbon you used is such a neat contrast to the colors and gives the card more character!
