Kristina's Color Inspiration!
Welcome back! For this post I am going to show you the card I made for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration challenge! Every week Kristina posts a picture on her blog that she has found as a piece of inspiration. The pictures she chooses are beautiful and have so many vivid colors in them. She then translates the picture into a color combination and asks her readers to create a card using those colors. This week's colors were certainly celery, so saffron, bashful blue, and close to cocoa.
I decided that I wanted to make a kick-stand card since I had never tried one of those before. I also decided that I wanted to use this cute little image from the Fun & Fast Notes set (can you tell it's one of my favorite sets???). I just love how cute he is! I watercolored the little guy with my SU! markers and my blender pen. I made sure to color in some green grass under him so it didn't look like he was floating. I then added the little sentiment underneath. I am pleased with how this card turned out. It is one that I enjoyed making and it came together really quickly! I am definitely feeling much more confident as a stamper. I feel more comfortable with my work and I have come to realize that each creation is beautiful to someone no matter what I may think of it! I love sharing my cards with you because of the joy that stamping brings me. I hope that I may somehow be able to inspire others with my love of stamping. It's great to be able to challenge myself to do better with each card and that is why I love Splitcoast. They give you daily challenges which are made to help us improve. My goal every day is to get at least one card made. I know that sounds like a lot to some (my husband included) but it is a passion I have and I just don't feel complete unless I can spend some time fulfilling that passion! Haha. I am rambling. I will stop. I just wanted to share my feelings with all of you. I know a lot of you are probably feeling the same. If you are, tell me, I love hearing from my readers!
